Porto Musical - Ready Steady Go!
Womex's director and anthropologist Christoph Borkowsky Akbar said today that Porto Musical is going the right way. Among other things, he talked about the importance of having Porto Digital as a basis for the event and the fact that Recife is indeed a great place for him to spend his Carnival (and many others seem to agree). Here's what he said:
"Porto Musical is something like Ready Steady Go (that UK TV show). The first year it was ready, this year we hope it will be steady, and next year it will go somewhere. This year we're trying to stabilize Porto Musical: people are coming back, certain things are improving, certain things are more difficult. But I think we're going in the right direction."
